Hi, It's my first time posting in this channel so i'm not sure if this is the right place but i got a question. I'm trying to use a magicstring in a custom forms workflow but the {value} is nog recognized in Umbraco 11 (in umbraco 8 it is) how can i fix this? currently checking this article https://docs.umbraco.com/umbraco-forms/developer/magic-strings#how-can-i-parse-these-values-elsewhere-in-my-c-code-or-razor-views but i can't get it working in my workflow. If someone could help me that would be awesome!!

I've cloned a cloud site that has recently had Engage added to it. The Cloud clone wants to use the default SQLLite for the DB, but immediately errors with

System.ApplicationException: Umbraco Engage does not support SQLite!

. I want to use an empty LocalDB SQL instance instead, but I'm struggling to work out the config I need to get it all linked up. I'm possibly missing something obvious, so any pointers would be welcome

Hello Umbracians. I have a site that imports products from an external pim service, I then go through all the imported products and create/update content programatically. The issue i have is that the site will just suddenly die during the import, no errors or exceptions in the logs that tells me anything useful. The amount of products it is able to process also varies, sometimes it goes through all 2000 products without crashing, other times it will crash after 500. Have any of you experiences anything like this, and can point me to a solution?

Any idea why a simple logout request isn't working? No errors, it just doesn't logout the current user. I'm upgrading an Umbraco cloud solution from v10.8.7 to v13.5.2, but it seems the forms upgrade is not possible directly. Umbraco forms will try to execute all migrations from 10_0_0 to 13_4_0, but fails at 12_0_0 (screenshot attached) when calling "PopulateNodeTableAndNodeIdToForms". This particular failing step generates a dynamic SQL query with columns that are not yet added until migration 13_4_0 (like CreatedBy, UpdatedBy). So the data class definition contains the fields and would produce a specific sql query with corresponding columns, but the columns will only be added in migration 13_4_0. Not ideal. Anyone else hit this problem? I will try next to upgrade forms in 2 or 3 jumps to mitigate the steps that are generating sql queries to populate stuff. I recently built a site using Umbraco 14 and was wondering about the best approach to upgrading to Umbraco 15. Should I always upgrade to the latest version as soon as it's available to stay up-to-date with fixes, or is it better to wait 1–2 versions for stability? I also heard at .NET Conf that Umbraco changed its caching mechanism, and I saw in the breaking changes that model rebuilding (for snapshot types) and precompression were affected. I even ran into some precompression issues in my .NET 8 solution recently. What’s the recommended upgrade path, and are there any potential pitfalls to watch out for when moving from Umbraco 14 to 15? If I'm not using this Snapshot types - is it save to just update the package? Have a great day

So deliberating with a colleague today on the possibility for an Umbraco site to have its entire /Views/ directory actually served by an RCL instead of needing to build views within the web solution itself. Was wondering if anyone had achieved anything close to this or might be aware of pitfalls of trying to achieve this? Ultimately trying to level up our "Baseline" on Umbraco cloud in such a way that on a per project basis - Views could be overridden without the worry that an accidental push from the parent project could wipe out a custom view that was created (Or wipe a customisation made to a view that was originally served by the baseline parent project)

Hi everyone. This is my first time setting up Umbraco. Our architecture is setup to have 2 front end servers and 1 backend server. I've attached a diagram of our setup. I have followed Umbraco's documentation for load balanced setup and have run into a few issues. For context, I've setup Umbraco on each of the 3 servers, pointed them all to the same database and NAS server for shared file access (instead of doing replication), setup delegated cache on SQL and pointed all 3 to a shared key for data protection. As I was setting up each server, they each loaded their web portal (localhost:/umbraco) and I was able to login and see the same folders from the NAS. But once all 3 were up, suddenly only the backend web portal will load. When I try the front end servers, they load an error message (attached). Which brings me to my questions. 1. Is each server supposed to load via the web portal or only the backend? 2. If so, should each server have it's own URL (umbraco1.domain.com or something)? 3. How do I go about creating a URL for the Umbraco admin/editor login so it can be accessed with a normal URL instead of via localhost? 4. And is it possible for an editor to access that page on their system instead of remoting into the backend sever? Kestrel is about 28mb max by default, but when I change Kestrel to accept up to 6gb, then my next problem is I cannot seem to upload any files larger than 2gb
