Sorry to be negative and for such a long post after what I am sure was a great in-person event but I feel a need to share the same feedback I just shared directly with the Umbraco team to see if I'm being unreasonable and to see if there are others in the community feeling the same. "*As someone that attended CodeGarden for many years before the move to the current location, I am disappointed in how exclusive rather than inclusive this event now is. I personally can no longer attend due to the additional time required to be out of the office as it adds an extra day for me to be able to attend for the entire duration. This results in me needing to take most of the week off and be out of the office. With the removal of access to all sessions apart from selected free sessions on day 1 you have completely excluded a large percentage of your audience from being able to gain the benefit of the CodeGarden content and talks unless they have sufficient resources and funds to attend in person. This is hugely disappointing and considerably unfair to those members of the community that cannot attend in person for whatever reason*." To add to this, even the day 1 streams included in the free online ticket were largely unwatchable from late morning due to the stream quality. My previous experiences at CodeGarden were outstanding, I made some great memories, met some amazing people, made some great friends and learnt from the best of the best. @Chriztian Steinmeier you are and always will be my most memorable session from CodeGarden from back in the day when I finally got to truly understand the power of XSLT after battling with it for so long 🤩 I hope in coming years I will finally be able to return but until then I would love to still have the opportunity to benefit from the information and content shared at the event.

I believe most if not all of the sessions were recorded and will end up online if that helps

My understanding was that only the ones available online were being recorded. Last year, even though I did attend in person, I went back afterwards to watch many of the recorded videos. It removed a great source of anxiety around the talks: deciding which of 3 great talks I would go to and which I would have to skip. I used it as an opportunity to connect with more people - If I was in the middle of a great conversation with the cloud team, I could happily continue knowing that I could catch up on the talks later. I appreciate that filming and/or streaming all the talks is expensive - but I think it should be done - especially give the new "hybrid" world we all find ourselves in.

Oh really I wouldn’t have made myself look so awesome for the cameras. Seriously though that is a shame as I think what Andrew says it’s better for the attendees and the virtual attendees

@stevetemple I was also under the impression recordings were made 😦 I understood that decision was made due to budget constraints and not enough views on the previous years. I find it a pity, had quite a few talks I wanted to watch again (inc. my own, just for self improvement).
