Premium Plugins for TinyMCE
t
Im trying to get some clarity on this using Umbraco 9...Its my understanding that Umbraco uses a TinyMCE Cloud Is including a premium plugin from TInyMCE as simple as including it in the
lib
folder or referencing account credentials in appSettings? Has anyone run a premium plugin, specifically SpellChecker Pro?
s
Not using TinyMCE Cloud, that's their hosted version.. If you have the plugin files, it should be possible to just drop them in though, but I don't know how you'd go about buying those.
t
Im thinking if they have a tiny account they could download the plugin straight away?
s
Possibly 🤞 but I don't know how they validate licensing, you might actually need the cloud version 😅
t
yuck
How would that work then with Umbraco? I dont see any app settings for including an account etc?
would I need to deregister the included tinyMCE and include the cloud version?
s
Guess it should just work since we advertise it (who knew!!) https://umbraco.com/integrations-and-tech-partners/tinymce/
t
interesting...
off to read
s
It all links to "standalone" Tiny though, so it's unclear how the integration works.
t
Yeah reading that now, this is an interesting needle in the stack...
