New Umbraco 13 site - cannot log in
m
First u13 site locally, .net 8 set up, just installed u13 and can see the front end fine but cannot log into the backoffice. Just keep getting "oops! we couldn't log you in. Please check your credentials and try again". I'm 100% sure my credentials are correct, I still have the commands with which I set it up. Is this an error which is actually referring to something else, ie, not actually a credentials issue? Think the db is set up correctly, like I say, I can see the front end ok. I have used code generated by PSW Codeshare - initially with uSkinned, uSync, SQL server etc, and then just a plain vanilla version using SQL Lite and neither backend worked. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

That's what I always use, so should work. Maybe check if the password has some special characters that mght be failing? Does the same command from PSW work if you give it the password
test123456
for example (that's my go-to password). Also, the username should be an email address I believe, not sure if that's still required but I think so.

Thanks! Yes used an email address, and no special characters, same pw as I always use locally. Very odd. I did try a few other versions last night and finally got one installation to work. What I did differently in that instance was to specify versions rather than just "latest stable", and also did not open cli as admin but don't imagine that made a difference. That was with SQL Lite which is not what I want, so trying again now with SQL server, and specify versions, fingers crossed.

Never had any problems with any of that!
I did just remember that I had GREAT trouble after I lost power on my PC at home for a few hours and I could not log into any Umbraco sites any more, at all. After pulling my hair out for foreever, I finally noticed that the clock was a few hours off, after making sure the time was accurate, everything just worked again 😅

Thanks - I finally got it working. Think a combination of leaving out quotes on project name etc, making sure double quotes on the password string, versions etc etc - there was a lot of trial and error. I did change the pw too just in case although it was literally just numbers and letters, went to an all number version and it worked. Not sure what it was all about but thank you anyway
