V14 beta release
# package-development
k
beta is 'out' but i cant see it on any nuget feeds ?
l
It’s on its way to being out … if you revisit the (just updated) release page there’s more info and a note that not yet on nuget https://our.umbraco.com/download/releases/1400
w
Assume something must be up as we don't have a matching uSync release out at the same time πŸ˜›
k
πŸ™‚ - I am mid packing, for spark, and buying a house and waiting for the beta. it may not make it out today
w
Well Lotte can film you pushing the beta release button then at Spark hackathon πŸ˜›
Hope house purchase all goes well matey
l
Kevin if you press the button at the hackathon in the morning I promise you a film crew to record the event
(Film crew might be slightly over playing it, but someone can video it!)
w
Lotte I expect a full makeup crew, confetti cannons the whole 9 yards for Kevin if he does !!
Any ETA on the beta release ending up on Nuget/Mygeet/npm etc ?!
j
Oh my god, @Warren Buckley, it's building and releasing as we speak. Will last a good 20 minutes before it's out -- stay put πŸ˜„
I meant to start it earlier, but your fricking London airports all closed down this morning due to fog, so got delayed a bit and just landed. If Lotte had been with me, she could have filmed me push the button on a coach headed to Bristol just before πŸ˜‚
w
hahaha πŸ˜‚
Well safe travels
j
Thanks, I'm sure I'll be fine. Currently racing Seb to Bristol - he opted for the trains whereas I took the direct coach instead. We'll see who gets there first.
w
My bet is on Seb (trains out that way are pretty reasonable) however traffic around the motorways is sh*t
j
He has to change at Paddington though. Or Reading. The tracks were flooded a few days ago I just read, lol. The nominal time for the trains are 2:10 and for the coach it's 2:15 so we'll see πŸ™‚
Please note that you have to change your authorization policies as well and remove the "New" keyword from them:
[Authorize(Policy = AuthorizationPolicies.BackOfficeAccess)]
w
More importantly who's winning the race to Bristol?!
s
🀚 I will, by a whole 5 mins πŸ˜›
k
Where will the nuget package be coming from ? (Nuget or pre releases?)
j
It won't be on NuGet before the Release Candidates start being released. The MyGet feed called "umbracoprereleases" is the place to go and look (the same place where the previews were found).
