Did the mobile app ever get fixed (heards last year, it ate through batteries & mobile data quickly) and is the app of any actual use or not?!

Word at HQ is that it is fixed, you wont receive data from streams before you actually join a stream

They (the SpotMe people) say that "this does not happen" but I don't trust them, they said the same last year and couldn't point out a fixed bug for the problem. So.. there's no way of knowing. It will be interesting to see.

Is there any real use/benefit for it. Surely I can see schedule around venue or on back of lanyard?! What else is it really used for?!

Think they had push notifications for when snacks were served last year. Also there is a social wall that may be nice to view once in a while
