Meta Conversions API

Has anyone ever had to do anything with this? From my quick reading it looks like the Facebook Pixel tracking is (not so) sadly being taken down by browser privacy changes. Client referenced a Wordpress plugin that "just works" - it seems to relay the events that would otherwise be sent to Meta directly via the WP site and allows for custom events to be sent server side. My limited understanding of all this makes me think I could just do something similar - have a bit of JS that hits an API when a pixel event is fired and sends to to the Meta Conversion API via the server (thus avoiding blocks, though obviously respecting user choices on tracking). Anyone ahead of me - or understands this stuff better can advise?

did you make any headway on this?

Other priorities took hold I'm afraid.

Hey @SiempreSteve, any update since December? I have a client asking similar, and I can't work out if it's a bit piece of work, or actually quite simple. They also make it sound like it's just a case of "installing" it, but when briefly looking through the docs, it looks more involved that that

I batted it back to the "SEO Experts" - I think they used a third party tool in the end which basically just created some azure containers somewhere that allowed for the magic to happen.
Sorry - not signed into Discord for a while.
I'm still sure this stuff would be super simple to solve by just providing an API endpoint to the meta pixel. But time hasn't allowed.

Yeah, I keep doing a similar thing haha. I do wonder if there is a need for an Umbraco package or something that adds a simple integration for it
