Quick but perhaps a dull question. Who do people use for domains, my registrar the fees seem to keep creeping up and for all the project ideas and hacks I’ll probably never publish but hang onto as domains. Saving a few ££ might help with my project abandonment guilt

Cloudflare, as long as they have the tld extension. Their DNS was already rock solid so I'd already never used the commonly flaky DNS provided by most registrars themselves. But once they started doing the full domain reg directly too I moved everything there. They say it's all charged at the wholesale pricing, though I've not really done a lot of comparing on that as it was beating everyone on .UK at least where most of mine are.

I've been very happy with https://www.gandi.net/en for personal projects.

I've found https://www.namecheap.com/ to be quite good recently

I buy on namecheap and then move to CF once renewal is up
