Hi there - we're seeing some crazy usage numbers on some sites in Umbraco Cloud and I can't really figure out if the CDN Cache settings are doing anything... I'm assuming that if I set a TTL of 6 hours, any request for a static asset in this timeframe would not be count in the usage section? Or do I just not get how this should work?

All traffic counts towards usage, cached or not, so enabling CDN Caching won’t have any impact on this.

Thanks Rasmus 👍 Not at all the answer we were hoping for... 🤔 - but it clears up any doubts we had as to why it didn't seem to matter what we tried.

On the "Bandwidth Usage Referers" [sic] dashboard the "None (Direct)" ends up accounting for millions (!) of requests... is that just "tough luck" that any DDoS-like (though properly mitigated by Cloudflare, it seems) events will cost the client a forced upgrade?

If the requests are being blocked by Cloudflare then I’m fairly certain the bandwidth doesn’t count towards the usage. If you think the usage doesn’t reflect normal traffic, I’d suggest contacting support and getting them to investigate it
