I have just discovered https://www.monsterasp.net/. They seem to offer a bundle of web and email hosting. Has anyone tried it? The price seems like a bargain to me, so I have doubts about their stability, especially with their mail hosting.

Czech company.. price seems unsustainable but they seem responsive on reddit at least https://www.reddit.com/user/MonsterASPNET/ Some worries here: https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/monsterasp.net

Yes - it's not a little cheaper than the competition - It's a lot cheaper 😄 I don't understand how they can make money from this, which makes me wonder how reliable their setup is in the long run. I've tried their free tier and it seems to work pretty well - https://umbraco15.runasp.net/

It's probably just someone with a VM who is setting up free mail server software and making a little money by keeping the VM small and signing up loads of people. It's fine until someone signs up that stats using all the resources and then it's not cost-effective any more.
I'd just set up a proton mail instead 😅
oh yeah for website hosting.. same thing, I'm sure it works fine for now, but not when you start using real resources

I love things like this. Reminds me of when I first got into .net, following those WROX books with Scott Hanselman on the cover. It's nice to have somewhere cheap or free to host your playground stuff
