So back in the prehistory and early days one of the games I used to play was who is who at conferences and at events .. So I understand the idea of transparency.. much of why I hide behind my real name on the internet.. But if you interact with people with funky usernames more it’s may be a case of asking each person.. are you going to b at event xyz ams if so I’d love to meet you and then kin the real world name connection that way But it’s a bit like gender, some people like anonymity.. I suppose it’s ask If it’s ata cos play event and in character .. maybe it’s appropriate to you the character name (my old d&d character was Lars Ingold iii)
