I've been using Bruno (https://www.usebruno.com/) instead of Postman for the last few weeks as I'm doing a lot of API work at the moment. It's a JOY to use! I was able to export all of my saved Postman requests and import them with no problems. Bruno saves all the requests in JSON files, which get picked up by Syncthing (also a great piece of software) so it's available on my other machines to open as well. 2 amazing features (to me): it imported the GitHub GraphQL definitions to give me useful autocomplete in GraphQL 🎉 and the other thing: it can generate C# (
HttpClient
) code for each of the requests. (I know Postman can do it as well, but I only learned that afterwards). Anyway, it's fast, it's clean, it's got a cute logo: check it out!
And with that, I believe my commission check is in the mail 😉

Have you used Insomnia? Do you have any idea how it compares?

I opened Insomnia, couldn't get into it, closed it again and didn't think about it for the past 2 years until you mentioned it 😉

Guess they don't pay enough comission 😛

Branding for dummies. Who wants insomnia when you can get a cute doggo named Bruno? 🙂
l
I think there are a lot of developers who identify with insomnia 😴

We use Bruno, but we don't talk about it (#sorryNotSorry)

I use Postman all the time so I'll have to give this a peek and see how it compares!
The logo IS cute 😉

I discovered Bruno a while ago. I much prefer it to Insomnia and Postman
