I'm testing out the Umbraco Cloud Trial, but authentication keeps failing when I try to clone the project. fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://scm.umbraco.io/my-test-project.git' There was a login modal that popped up as I was cloning which prompted me to 'sign in to https://scm.umbraco.io'. I was assuming this should be the same creds created for the Umbraco Cloud trial. Is this incorrect? **If this is correct, I triple checked my password and logged out/logged in with that password in Umbraco Cloud without issue. Tough one, not sure what could be going wrong. Try getting yourself updated to the very latest version of Git and install the git credential manager that gets offered during the Git install (assuming you're on Windows). Also on Windows, there is a credential manager in your control panel, it might have something wrong stored for umbraco.io (maybe you've had a previous trial for example).

Good morning and thanks to both of you! I am 99% sure I've never had an Umbraco Cloud trial before. I checked the Windows cred manager and have nothing stored that's related to Umbraco. I also upgraded to the latest version of Git. Then I tried cloning again and am still having the same issue: *remote: 401 Authorization failed. fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://scm.umbraco.io/euwest01/laurens-quick-witted-red-panda.git/'* At least I know I'm using the right credentials. I'll keep plugging away. Thanks again!

Make sure to tap the support chat on Cloud as well. I really can't think of anything else, but maybe something went wrong creating the new account.

Returning to this thread with more questions. We have a potential Umbraco Cloud project that I will be working on soon. I hope someone from this community can help! Thank you! I worked with Umbraco Cloud support, but my ticket was ultimately closed, and I was directed to Github support, but they said my issue is not Github related. Issue: I am unable to clone an Umbraco Cloud project. The clone fails on an authentication error. Troubleshooting: 1. Tried cloning multiple different Umbraco Cloud projects (always an authentication error). No issues cloning a project on Github. 2. Upgraded Git version 3. Tried cloning on different command line tools (git bash, command prompt, power shell) as well as directly through Github Desktop and Visual Studio 4. Tried cloning on multiple machines 5. Manually added Umbraco Cloud credentials to Windows Credential Manager 6. Attempted to ignore Git Credential Manager 7. Had others clone the same Umbraco Cloud projects with no issue 8. Added UC credentials directly to the git clone command
