So it looks like people in Denmark born 10 years later than me will be working until 70 years old. It is likely I will be working until 70 anyway in the UK but I love what I do so I don't mind. Do all you youngsters imagine you will be still be working (and still in tech) when you are 70? I didn't! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg71v533q6o

Hoping to have an way earlier retirement tbh!

I would be happy to still work, but was semi forced into retirement, wish I'd done it sooner though 🤣

They keep bumping it up every 5 years with a buffer of some years, so it doesn't affect people close to retirement. If I do the forward calculation of my birth year and month, I will have to work until I am 73 years old in Denmark. But I just cannot fathom doing that. (Luckily they also just suggested a hard limit on 70 years, but still feels like a lot) In France, they have been protesting raising the retirement age above 64 years, just for contrast 😅

Yep with the current projections I will be working until 74 🙃 Lots of people disagree with this though - especially as the politicians made sure to set their own retirement age to 60 as an exception

> politicians made sure to set their own retirement age to 60 Why am I not surprised at that!

On the other hand, we don't want to keep politicians around until they are 80... 🙂
