Yay! My LinkedIn drive to boost my UMB.FYI subscribers worked. Love it or hate it I noticed that LinkedIn seems to be one of the most active Umbraco social spaces lately, so I thought I'd trying posting a little more about UMB.FYI to see if I could boost my subscriptions. Pre Codegarden they were hanging around the 640 mark, but with some consistent posting I've managed to reach my 700 goal. Ye, I've noticed mastodon / bluesky are really quiet these days from an Umbraco point of view and LinkedIn is by far the busiest, which I hate as I find it really hard to actually find stuff - it's more by chance. Nice work on the 700 mark, here is to the next 100 😄

Yea, I don't really like it because it's yet another walled garden where you are at the whim of the algorythm (have we learnt nothing), but as the Cheers theme song says "some times you gotta go where everybody knows your name" 😂

I hate LinkedIn and all the "I peed my pants, and this is what it taught me about X" posts. The new community site should do its own twitter-like feature 🙂

Yay! That confirmed my thoughts about the growth of Umbraco related posts on LinkedIn. It's certainly not the best platform for filtering and finding information, but like you say Matt, it's where the people are at. Lets hope LI eventually decide to lift the gates and open up an API to capture all those juicy umbraco nuggets.

I've recently made a simple tweak to only see the most recent in my feed. Then I went through the feed and if there's a nonsense post that doesn't add anything for me, I just unfollow that person. Unless it's a person I REALLY want to keep following, then I give them a few more chances.. This has helped me see mostly relevant posts.
