There is a prototype running in a mega-guild (~700k user), and it receives about 4 messages/second. Umbraco holds it's weight impressively well. Currently I'm just using the tree as the lookup, but I'm moving it into examine to be a little more performant. The bot caches responses too, so no need to hit Umbraco if it does not need to 🙂
