Hi, it obviously depends a bit on implementation but @User and Matt Hart did some performance stuff year this was v9 vs v8 - but i would go out on a bit of a limb and say front end performance of v7 and v8 wasn't hugely different - the underlying tech was the same, and their wasn't a huge diffrence in pipeline stuff.
