And here's me getting by without a solid understanding of S.O.L.I.D., never having read a book on MVC, only a high level understanding of design patterns. Of course I've encountered all of it, I know enough to get by. I'd say don't stare yourself blind on all the "qualifications", it's just as valuable to get your hands dirty and build things and learn along the way. 🙂
