It's V7 to 9 that's the issue. The best advice I have at the moment is to migrate V7 to V8 (basically to get the content over) and then upgrade the code to V9 (the V8 DB will upgrade itself to V9). So it's an expensive jump that will need a good pitch. That's what I'm trying to put together and the backend tech is a relatively minor issue to a site owner. They just want to get their content up as easily as possible (which is why I advocate the use of Umbraco anyway 😉 ).
