Literally what I was going to suggest (you know I love mustache) however it seems like a solution to a self made problem. I wonder if tag helpers should be kept to a bare minimum of markup. Also agree with a lot of comments around readability. Also the pro- taghelper comment of 'not having to learn...' I am not sure is actually a good thing either
