4 weeks ago Diverticulitis, which I've had for many years finally got the better of me and I suffered a ruptured bowel. NHS tried for 2 days to avoid operating. In the end they removed the damaged tissue and have given me a stoma. Unfortunately it did not work for 9 days but is finally working and I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
