uSync errorring on Forms in V12.0.1

On an upgraded V12.0.1 site I'm getting the following error at the end of an "Export Everything":- Error: Could not load type 'Umbraco.Forms.Core.Interfaces.IFieldPreValueSource' from assembly 'Umbraco.Forms.Core, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. Using uSync 12.0.2 & uSyn.FormsEdition 10.0.1.0 & Umbraco.Forms 12.0.0 Any advice appreciated.
Also with a clean export from uSync V10.0.1.0 imported into exactly the same version I get this warning:- > This sync folder is from an older version of uSync. While the sync will work, you will get quicker and cleaner results with a more recent export. Even exporting and importing on the same site gives this error. At the moment I have a site down because I can't import uSync files into the new installation 😦
Everything imports apart from Forms and Content. On reporting, the content section says "create" against each item. But when imported, the home node says "Cannot save a non-current version." and after that, nothing has a parent of course. Really stuck now. I've cleared caches, rebuilt indexes, physically deleted the v9 folders on the local and live sites. Full exported from local, put up to live and it's the same. Content will not import. Need some help if anyone can suggest anything?

You are not alone, I see several people (on the forum and on discord) with upgrade issues. Sorry I'm too noob to give you the correct answer. I can say "you should never go live before you tested it" or "A good BTAP street is key" etc. but you already know that. At least https://www.incrediblyuseful.net/ seems to be up and running 🙂 What i can suggest is to start over? Meaning, create a new website on umb 12 and manually copy paste the stuff uSync does not get? Worked for me once but was with 10 --> 11 and not a big site. Perhaps this takes less time (an hour or so) than actually figuring out the problem (2 days lol)

I've had a lost weekend on this. Thought I'd be smart and upgrade all my 11.x sites to 12.0.1. Only to find 11.4.2 reports itself as 12.0.0 so uSyncForms won't install. Then it seems uSync proper has some issues with Umb V12.x in that it errors if you re-import what it just exported. It's been super-stressful. I've had 2 sites down for hours. I've reverted one of them back to how it was. The other, upgraded to 12.0.1 but I think it was a lucky coincidence because I didn't have to uSync anything. I suspect it will need attention before too long. Anyway, issues have been raised with both uSync and Umbraco so hopefully they'll either do patch upgrades quickly or tell us how we should have done it, lol. I'm going for a lie down.
Quite. The best way to upgrade these days I find is to create a fresh DB, put all your files up and when it runs up, allow it to install an empty Umbraco instance. Then use uSync to import everything. When it's works (which it usually does), it's like magic. Then delete the old DB. That's after having done it all locally with a fresh uSync export of the original site's content & a copy of the media folder.
