Hello, I have a client who wishes to use a new E-Commerce package for Umbraco with a requiremenrt that it will support digital downloads. Any ideas?

UmbCheckout or Umbraco Commerce. UmbCheckout can ride on the back of Stripe products, which i believe you can setup to be digital downloads Umbraco Commerce, formally Vendr, is an integrated eCommerce platform which iirc supports digital downloads

These are the 2 principal platforms commerce probably also allows it, but that depends on the money for the web site

Yeah uCommerce is it’s own beast in my opinion. It’s great but take a bit of a curve to learn

The only problem with UCommerce is I dont think they will have the budget and the features they need are not avaliable on the free platform

I agree, most clients don't have the budget, but overall its still a competitive product

@JigitalCharlie @TECKSPEED compared to some other bigger commercial products its pretty good on price but given Umbraco and currently the type of clients its probably a bit steep for some still

I completed one a few months ago with Vendr & Vendr Checkout (now Commerce). The site sells PDF's for download. Worked fine. It's really only limited by your imagination. Budget is another consideration though. Not all sites that need to take money will generate the income required to cover the running cost of UCommerce or Commerce. There's also UmbCheckout, which is freemium and might do the trick.
