Backoffice ExternalIndex search not working

ExternalIndex search in backoffice returns NO RESULTS. I tried deleting the temp folder and reindexing.

All I can think of is: you have no published content? Or you're searching words like "the" or "and" or "or". These kinds of stopwords are not indexed.

There are 10000+ published contents. Search on nodeid is also not working.
@Jemayn Thanks a ton. It worked. Just by adding INDEXING settings to ignore indexing the blocklist worked..
