Copying items inside Block grid area

When you have a Block grid with an area that can only old one block type how are you supposed to paste a block that you have copied via the copy button?
From what I can see the only thing I can click to add a new item is the "+" on the border where I'm taken directly to the create a new item view with no option to paste my copied item.

11/15/2023, 11:00 AMIf it's in the single block mode thing, you can paste from clipboard using the menu by the property name:

11/15/2023, 11:04 AMFor lists that can have multiple of a single type, it shows copied content when I hit the add content button at the bottom. I don't have a grid handy with the same setup but I imagine it's similar?

11/15/2023, 8:15 PMHmm. In my example I have a grid with an area that has an area. And that inner area doesn't have a paste option.
