Is it just me that would like to see a dropdown property editor with tuple prevalues like codeName / displayName? It just don't feel right to use Swedish "Vänster" as a property value in code, I'd rather use "left". But I want to display the proper Swedish name for users. Tried to search market place for such but no luck. Anyone here created a custom dropdown or knows where to find one?

Contentment Datalist is awesome, it has a dropdown view but also several others. The data can come from your own custom data source, or just a predefined list you can set.
