Hello Umbraco Community, I'm currently working on an international website that requires support for multiple languages. Language Variants seem like a great solution for managing translations efficiently. To tailor content for different countries (since content will not always be the same for different countries), I'm adopting a multisite approach. Each country will have its own root node, and language variants within each country will cater to diverse language needs. We aim to follow the ISO code syntax like language-COUNTRY, such as en-US. This structure will result in URLs like www.mywebsite.com/en-US/... For instance, the Swedish website should support Swedish, English, and Norwegian. While Swedish and English meet the criteria (sv-SE, en-SE), Norwegian poses a challenge as Umbraco's predefined languages lack the ISO code nb-SE. My question is: Can these ISO codes be overwritten, or is there a way to add custom languages to the dropdown list in "Add language" under "Languages" in the "Settings" section? Umbraco pulls the languages from the ones that are installed on your machine. But it looks like it is also possible to create a new language yourself and save to Umbraco. Hey @Jemayn! Yes I saw the article for v7 and realized that's exactly what I want to do, but figured it would be outdated in the current Umbraco version. I guess I'll try to apply it to my current project, thanks a lot! Just a (possibly noobie) question, where inside of my project (code-wise) should I handle the creation of these languages?

That's a good question. These two ways I would consider: 1. The quick and dirty way could be to just add something to trigger it, fx inside an api controller and then just call the route to get the language, then delete the api controller and use usync/umbraco deploy to transfer the language to other environments 2. The future proof way would probably be to run it in a startup notification (https://docs.umbraco.com/umbraco-cms/reference/notifications/umbracoapplicationlifetime-notifications), where you could use the localization service to check if the language already exists, then if it doesnt create it. It would give a little bit of a longer startup though, but would ensure the language was always there for all environments
