https://github.com/umbraco/DefineBackofficeExtensionAPI/discussions/3 In this discussion Kevin⭐ shows how to add commands to the save and publish button's dropdown. I would like to do something like this, but it would be great if I didn't have to rewrite it when the new Backoffice is released. Is there any new ways of doing it? I haven't been able to find anything newer than that discussion anywhere.

I think it is still the way to do this in v13., the discussion in in response to requests for these hacks to be documented so in the new backoffice (v14+) and beyond. they are hopefully not needed. I don't think the core team are at this point in v14 yet (in the latest previews the publish button doesn't have any drop downs). but so far there are new ways to customize the bottom areas of the page etc
Just to add, if you are looking to add custom actions, then you do need to do this, if you want to disable, change some of the existing ones, and you have uSync.Complete its all configurable, (although really its just using the above technique ands reading from the config. https://blog.jumoo.co.uk/2023/v12-supertweaks/

Thanks Kevin, I might hold off until v14 in that case
