Anyone has any idea why my blockitem/area is null? Im not using models builder. I followed their documentation the it is still null.

For layout areas don't use the package, just use the normal method.

@jlatine are you still having this issue?

I still have some odd behaviour with the layout areas and only use it with the content tbh. I think it may conflict with some of the built in stuff?
