I was excited to find buried in the wall of text for forms configuration that there is a 'ManageSecurityWithUserGroups' options, but it doesn't appear to work when I enable it. The new section appears in the tree and I can assign things to groups, but it doesn't change anything for any users. I have a test user with the basic default manage & view entries permissions. I assign them to the editor group which has been given workflow permissions in the Forms Security > Group permissions. But it doesn't do anything. The test user still only has exactly what they had before. I have tried restarting the application but that changed nothing. I know the docs say User Assigned permissions supersede the group permissions, but if that includes never-before-set options then how is this supposed to work? I feel I must be missing something obvious xD
