Heheh I was going to delete it and make it again but I was not sure if we can have a package owned by an organisation?

OK I am looking at organisation accounts on github - I think we may have one https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/learning-about-github/types-of-github-accounts#organization-accounts

Ok. But if you want an organization on Our then it's just a new member that you should create for it. Then I can transfer ownership.

Hey legends, running into a build/pack issue that I need help with - Plumber looks for a license and key in the app plugins folder, same folder is deleted on clean/rebuild. Anyone see the problem here? I can move the license to /bin, but that will be tricky to manage for existing installs (might need a migration, blergh). Any suggestions on how to manage the clean/rebuild removing app_plugins/plumber, when that directory contains files which should be kept?

    recommended folder is now /umbraco/Licences

other thing, removal is part of the packages
    .targets
file ? , so you could somehow not delete the licence file. instead of single
    RemoveDir
, you could have multiple ones to remove all but the licence folder?

i need a song or something to remember its License not Licence ๐ŸŽต

I knew I'd seen something re the Umbraco/licenses folder, thanks for the reminder! It's all part of the targets file, which I think I'm going to need to change as it currently removes email templates views, which can be user-modified, so should be left alone in that case...

Been thinking about this myself as Vendr has templates files and config files that can be editable so we really need to do something about this too
  • m

    Matt Brailsford

    10/12/2021, 9:20 AM
ie, these shouldn't be removed on clean

I could probably re-target ours to only clean the
    App_Plugins\Vendr\backoffice
folder so that it only cleans UI stuff relevant to the back office, which shouldn't be edited

    i would think a
    \vendr
folder at the root was a reasonable thing in a site - i mean i am not for a folder per package but vendr will be quite a large part of anyone's ecommerce solution

    10/12/2021, 9:26 AM
yea, but if this is a common thing, maybe a pattern needs defining

    Vendrs app_plugin folder has
    backoffice
    ,
    config
    ,
    lang
    and
    templates
    folders in it

the last 3 come with default files in, but they could be edited / additional files added
