We are getting this error on Umbraco 8. Will the following App settings in the webconfig help resolve this? ... ... Are these safe to use?

I used it for a long time on an old Umbraco (8) project, and it worked flawless

Is it hosted on Azure? is it multi sites structure?

It is on Azure and on a load balance set up

Then you must follow the Umbraco Azure configuration guide. And if both instances are in the same Plan, I think you must also employ a custom Umbraco Instance ID resolver.
